Danny B's Fish and Chips
About This Spot
Pulling up to Danny B’s Fish and Chips in Chino Valley, you might initially pass it by—its unpretentious exterior hints at a classic fish shack rather than a polished dining spot. But step inside, and the space warmly welcomes you into a laid-back retreat where the focus is clearly on fresh, satisfying seafood and a no-fuss atmosphere that encourages slowing down and savoring the moment.
The pace here unfolds gently. It’s the kind of place where families, longtime locals, and weekend wanderers come together around simple wooden tables, sharing stories over plates piled high with golden fish and crispy hush puppies. The décor may not shout for attention, but it quietly reflects a love for the sea and the humble pleasures of a meal well made.
Beyond the hearty aroma of fried fish, you’ll find the menu full of surprises that hint at the eclectic spirit of its kitchen—from classic beer-battered cod to unexpected treats like pan-seared shark or spicy lobster nachos. The food invites you to try something new, whether that’s their Baja fish tacos or jumbo shrimp by the basket, each bite carrying the ease and authenticity of a true seafood camp.
For many, this is a neighborhood gem where the wait staff moves with welcoming familiarity and the flavors hit home in a way that a fancy facade could never promise. The hush puppies, crisp pub chips, and expansive seafood baskets aren’t just dishes—you come here to reconnect with the joy of uncomplicated comfort food, where the real charm lies in the human moments around the table.
Danny B’s isn’t about gloss or grandeur; it’s about those quiet celebrations of local flavors and the kind of casual, spirited gathering spot where you feel like part of the story, not just another customer. It’s a place to bring your appetite, leave your pretense at the door, and experience seafood with a genuine edge of warmth and familiarity.

Great Walleye fish basket. Huge calamari basket and the lobster nachos were awesome. Great sweet tea too.

Honestly, the place looks like a greasy spoon place from the outside. We finally checked it out yesterday... we'll definitely be back! It's decorated nicely on the inside! I'd be great if they could bring some of that out front to attract more customers. The food wasn't bad, much better than expected! The presentation could've been better. The Lobster roll I ordered came on what looked like two store bought hotdog buns. But other than that it tasted great! My wife had the cod taco's. She's normally pretty picky but she loved it! The place also has a full bar which is nice. The men's bathroom was kind of funked out and dirty but it's hadicap accessible. All in all we were happy and satisfied. Apparently they have great deals on their taco's every Tuesday. They call it "Taco Tuesday"! We may come back then and check it out.

Ok the atmosphere is not a 5 star.....it's a fish shack! So if one who's nose is in the air, and you white glove everything go somewhere else. My wife and I are are seafoodies, so we went for the food! And it ROCKED! It would rank up there with a good 'fish camp' in the Carolinas. We're definitely gonna make this place a regular. I give a double thumbs up...

Great fish tacos on Taco Tuesday and all u you can eat Friday fish and chips - beer batter, panko or grilled for a dollar more. Beer batter is actually my fav. And love their hush puppies.

Pretty darn good fish for middle of AZ. Love the dockside atmosphere! Our server was so pleasant and helpful describing the 3 varieties of fish. We chose the cod but she also brought us a sample of the bassa to try which was wonderful! I would have preferred my beer battered cod to be deeper fried with more crispy crust but thinking the chef is worried about drying out the fish with too much fry but maybe a hotter temp would give and preserve the moisture? Anyhow, it's a great experience in Chino!
